PREFACE The present book on Financial Management is a modest though determined bid to meet the requirements of students of Commerce particularly at the graduation level. The purpose of this book is to provide a clear and understandable aspect to financial management. It seeks to acquaint the reader not only the theoretical approach to the organization and management of business undertakings, but also with the practice of management. The chief objective of the book is to unfold the intricacies to financial management in a simple and lucid language which facilitates understanding of the subject even where the reader may not have any grounding in it. An attempt has been made in this book to make the subject matter can be made more useful and understandable effectively which provides comprehensive coverage of the subject that helps to nurture the knowledge and learning process of the readers. Important questions such as very short answer type questions, short answer type questions and essay type questions have been drawn and incorporated at the end of each chapter along with sufficient exercises. This will help students in testing their understanding of various topics.
