Book Introduction - In the digital age, we are all surrounded by devices—but is every use addictive? And if not, why do some people become so entangled in them? This book challenges the common notion that digital addiction is solely a problem of screens, apps, or algorithms. Based on her own experience and deep reflection, the author offers a different perspective: that the true source of addiction lies within, not outside. Stress, emotional imbalance, and self-avoidance form the foundation on which digital addiction thrives. This book does not offer quick solutions or a list of rigid rules. Instead, it points to a process through which a person can reclaim control over their mind, their reactions, and the direction of their life. 'Rewiring the Brain' is not just about distancing themselves from technology, but about living with balance and awareness while living within it. Author Introduction: Chitra Awasthi is one of the few Indologists who has thoroughly studied the classical and secular foundations of Indian society. Through almost all of her books, articles, and speeches, she has explored various aspects of sociology, philosophy, and education. Her deep knowledge of Sanskrit, along with modern languages, gives her a special ability to understand ancient Indian philosophy. She has also participated in and chaired numerous national and international symposia and seminars on various issues. Since receiving a gold medal and completing her postgraduate degree from Kanpur University, she has been continuously engaged in writing and teaching and training. Furthermore, Chitra Awasthi is known for her social work, especially related to skill education and refugee resettlement. She currently serves as the President of the Rita Foundation.
