Untagged
Saher Salim · TreeShade Books
Untagged is an anthology of coming-of-age stories that break stereotypes and inspire. Each story is inspired by true-life experiences of the author and lends a voice to the teachings of the Sufi poet Rumi. The book revolves around topics such as body-image, self-love, mental health, love, loss, and most importantly what we as humans live for – Hope. The idea of the unknown, the divine entity, Allah, Jesus or Ram, is fascinating, right? What is the universe? Is there an after-life? Or are we doomed to experience this never-ending loop of struggles and happiness? There comes a pivotal time in everyone’s life and for the author, it was at the age of 16, in high school, when she lost her father and brother in a car accident on the Mumbai-Pune expressway. That incident changed her perspective on life and encouraged her to share the story of finding the rainbow after the thunderstorm. Set against the backdrop of the narrow by-lanes of Pune, the dark alleyways of London, and the busy streets of New Delhi, the book will leave you feeling inspired, motivated and most importantly - Hopeful.
